After the amazing opening night at Blitz of the You Are What You Eat exhibition, we’re happy to announce the public programme organised as part of the same project.

“We are inviting you to think about what you eat, and where it comes from. Essentially, we are also inviting you to imagine the beautiful opportunities presented by the migrants reaching Malta today. How will Eritrea, Somalia, Ivory Coast, Mali, Syria, Afghanistan change our breakfasts, our techniques, our utensils?” (Neil Falzon, aditus foundation Director)

Culture, food, art: our exciting new project!

Have you ever wondered where braġioli came from? Do you know why we make our ħobża the way we do? From where did we get our pastizzi, soppa tal-armla, kirxa? What impact did the Arabs have on the way we eat, and on what we eat? These and more questions are the subject of our exciting new project, implemented jointly with BLITZ.

You Are What You Eat is exploring the relationship between Malta’s rich history and the food we eat today. Our findings will be presented in a series of lectures and also through a number of creative works.
