aditus participates in a seminar organised by Médecins Sans Frontiéres (MSF)

aditus Director Neil Falzon spent a day in Athens discussing the Mediterranean region, at a seminar organised by MSF entitled ‘European and regional restrictive immigration policies: Are medical/humanitarian concerns taken into account?’  The primary aims of the seminar was to identify existing gaps in the regional with regard to the provision of medical and humanitarian assistance to migrants, with a view to assessing the possible operational involvement of agencies like MSF.

Neil, together with JRS Malta, provided the Malta perspective and connected with various other organisations with a view to possible future cooperation.  Whilst in Athens, Neil also had the opportunity to discuss issues related to the European Asylum Support Office (EASO), hoping to gather information for the aditus-run EASO Monitor blog (www.easomonitor.blogspot.com).
